Hans Verhoeven – Canadian Jazz Drummer, Percussionist & Educator
Hans Verhoeven is a Canadian jazz drummer and percussionist who has been performing professionally since the age of 13. Known for his maturity, groove, and musical sensibility beyond his years, Hans began his career working with some of the most respected names in Canadian jazz, including Donnie Clark, Patrick Coleman, John Forrest, Ross Taggart, Ken Lister, and Paul Landsberg.

In Toronto, Hans studied at Humber College, where he collaborated with acclaimed musicians such as Brandi Disterheft, Laila Biali, Shirantha Bedagge, Peter Van Huffle, and Nathan Hiltz. He also studied extensively with Canadian jazz greats Don Thompson and Bob McLaren, further refining his artistry as a drummer.

Hans continued his musical journey in Montreal at McGill University, studying jazz drums under the legendary Chris McCann.
