Multi-instrumentalist, singer-songwriter, and story-teller, Ed Peekeekoot is a skilled and seasoned performer. He has a timeless kind of cool that appeals to audiences of all ages. Ed’s performances go from blazing guitar work to foot stomping fiddle and haunting Native flute – all sprinkled with his Cree humor and philosophy. He takes people on a wildly varied musical journey from country folk to a touch of classical and jazz.

Visual Art

Ed's visual arts come in a variety of mediums including; wood and stone carvings; clay sculptures; oil paintings; and pencil drawings. Regularly emerging themes in Ed's works are family groupings, spirit beings, plants, birds, and animals. Recently, Ed has been commissioned to do carvings to honour particular people.  

School Programs

Ed Peekeekoot is a gifted and very experienced musician, storyteller, and artist from the Ahtahkakoop Cree First Nation in Saskatchewan. Now living on Vancouver Island in BC, Ed has performed for many years in schools and festivals across Canada and the US. 

Ed has a gentle sense of humour and appeals to people of all ages. He brings calmness and peace with him and has been security cleared for working with children and vulnerable populations. 

Ed has released 5 CDs and many of the illustrations for a Cree history book that led him to explore the history of his people more deeply. He has appeared on APTN many times and has been featured in a documentary series. Ed’s paintings and carvings are in collections around the world.
